"Maybe this isn't parliament but an asylum. And if I'm not Barnaby, who am I? And then, who is Barnaby? If I am crazy, it would explain a lot about this place."

Seriously. It's an actual quote.

This blog could be funnier if it wasn't so relentlessly pro-Labor and anti-Coalition all the time.
ReplyDeleteYes, and Labor would be funnier if they made stupid-arse comments more often or were in total disarray like the Coalition is at the moment. When they do something funny, I take the piss out of them (see previous lolz on Garrett, for example, Penny Wong, and Rudd trying to use technology).
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't Barnaby who did the stupid-arse thing here, but Virginia Trioli. But I guess the media branch of the ALP gets a pass.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, it was Virginia who did the stupid thing. But she already looked so foolish no lol could have made her more foolish. I actually think Barnaby was pretty gracious about the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd as for the tired old chestnut about the ABC being biased, there was an independent study last year that showed the news services on the ABC are slightly biased towards the Coalition. But I guess people like you have it so firmly in your tiny little minds that the ABC is biased that you just can't let it go... may I suggest Andrew Bolt's blog might be more up your alley?
"There was an independent study last year that showed the news services on the ABC are slightly biased towards the Coalition."
ReplyDeleteNow that's funny!
Funny maybe - but sadly for you, also true:

But hey, what would people who spend their entire careers studying this sort of stuff know...
If they're left-wing academics as most are, then they wouldn't know anything worth taking seriously.
ReplyDeleteYou can watch Virginia Trioli acting like that, and still claim the ABC isn't biased against the Coalition? Well, all I can say is that Barnaby Jones isn't the crazy one here.
Newsflash, anonymous, Virginia Trioli? She's NOT THE ONLY REPORTER AT THE ABC. Duh.
ReplyDeleteAnd as for the comment that most academics are left wing? Seriously, fuck off back to Andrew Bolt's blog where you belong.
Truth hurts.
ReplyDeleteHow would you know?
ReplyDeleteFrom the squeals of pain emitted by lefties when I point out the bias of media and academia.
ReplyDeleteOh noes, someone is upset that a humerous blog in teh interwebs doesn't conform to their exact sense of humour or political ideals!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm sorry if I upset you.
ReplyDeleteI really loved "Anzac Dai" and "Bag me or sack me". Both had me chuckling for days afterward.
Don't stop now. Just be aware that if you engage in politics at all, you will cop flak -- so you should learn to deal with it.
Oh my god, anonymous, way to have an over-inflated idea of your own importance! As if I'd stop blogging because you left a few stupid comments.
ReplyDeleteSo why did you stop blogging then? It's been 10 days.
ReplyDeleteObviously you think the entire world revolves around you, but it's actually because I was finishing a 10,000 word paper for uni. Sorry to disappoint you, but you're not actually a huge figure in my life.
