Government raises threat levels in response to Peter Garrett debacle

Apparently, the timing of new terrorism measures has nothing whatsoever to do with the insulation scheme being axed. Nothing at all. Look over there - is that flying saucer?

Coincidental or not, the Government has raised threat levels, taking us from "medium" to a higher level of alert:

The Ministerial Danger Rating has also been raised, from Severe to Extreme. We're expecting it to be raised to a Code Red (CAT-ASTROPHIC) shortly.

  1. I love your blog so much, I think kittens and politics is possibly the best combination I've ever seen. I almost choked to death a minute ago from laughing at that first photo about the insulation disaster. Please keep up the good work!! I will definitely watch this space as the election unfolds.
